With the objective of providing financial aid to Indian students aspiring to do their postgraduate degree in any reputed foreign university/college the K.C. Mahindra Scholarship programme was founded about 62 years ago in 1956.
Application pre-requisites of K.C Mahindra Scholarship
- The applicant must hold an undergraduate degree or any other equivalent degree from a recognised Indian university with a first class.
- The applicant should have secured admission in a reputed university/college abroad.
- The enrollment should be for a course starting either in September or February.
- An applicant pursuing studies of graduation final year is eligible to apply if he/she is able to provide the final year certificate by the end of June.
Application forms are available at the K.C Mahindra Education Trust which is situated in Mumbai. The forms can also be downloaded at www.nanhikali.org and submitted in the specified format. The application forms should be submitted by the end of March. The shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. The date of interview is confirmed by the end of May and the final interview is held in the month of July.
The aptitude of the candidate plays a major role in getting the scholarship. The applicant is also required to state all the sources of financial income when applying for the scholarship provided that all the financial documents are signed by the candidate’s guardians. The scholarship will be available and is ideal for those who have their career graph chalked out.
