INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INDIAN STUDENTS IN THE USA

1. Tata Scholarship (Undergraduate)
This scholarship is for the students who wish to study undergraduate courses in Cornell University, USA.
This scholarship is only for Indian students who have secured admission in the Cornell University.
Expenses covered:
The Tata Education and Development Trust covers tuition fee of undergraduate courses for up to 8 semesters. For Programs exceeding the 8 semesters duration students are required to bear the tution fee for the extra semesters. Living expense, medical, food, and travel expenses are covered under the aid provided to students.
Application time:
Students can apply for this scholarship generally in the month of October/November.
Availability of seats:
The trust provides this scholarship to 20 Indian students studying at Cornell University at a given period of time.
2. Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships (Postgraduate)
The USIEF (Unites States-India Educational Foundation) offers these scholarships to Indian students who want to study a masters’ course in any institution in the United States.
Eligibility:
The students should hold a graduate degree equivalent to that of USA and 3 years of work experience in the field they wish to study. Candidates are evaluated on Leadership and community service, motivation to pursue study, and communication skills.
Expenses covered:
The scholarship covers airfare (economy class), textbooks, living stipend, and tuition fee.
Application time:
The candidates can apply for this scholarship by June 30th of the year prior to the year of the start of program. The application process for the year 2018-2019 opened in June 2017 and continued till July2017. Final selections will be announced in the month of March 2018.
Availability of seats:
The number of available seats is not specified. USIEF considers applications of all candidates who they find eligible and deserving as per their criterion.
3. Stanford Reliance Dhiru bhai Fellowships
Reliance group along with Stanford GSB created this scholarship for e Indian students to offer them the opportunity of studying at the Stanford Graduate Business School in the USA.
Eligibility:
The students holding an undergraduate degree are eligible for this scholarship. In addition to this, the students seeking to apply for this scholarship are required to work in India for a minimum of 2 years after completing degree from Stanford Graduate Business School.
Expenses covered:
The aid can be used for tuition fee, living expenses, and health expenses.
Application time:
Candidates can apply for this scholarship in the month of April. The application remains open till the month of June.

4. Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship
It is the world’s largest privately funded international scholarship program. Its purpose is to develop international understanding and friendly relations among people from different countries.
Eligibility:
The candidate must be a citizen of a country having Rotary clubs. The candidate must hold a degree of at least 2 years of college course work or 2 years of professional experience.
Expenses covered:
The aid covers round-trip transportation expense, tuition fee, living expense, and language training expense.
Application time:
The applications are generally available in the month of October and the interview of chosen applications is held November.
